A Year of Connection, Service, and Sisterhood
A Letter from Our President, June 2026
Hello Sisters,

As I begin my term as President of the Dallas Area Alumnae Chapter, I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve this incredible group of women. Having previously served as chapter president nearly a decade ago and volunteering with Phi Mu at the local and national levels for many years, I have seen firsthand the impact our sisterhood has across generations.

One of the things I love most about Phi Mu is that it continues long after graduation. Through my volunteer experiences, I have had the privilege of watching collegians grow into confident leaders, build meaningful friendships, and navigate an ever-changing world with grace and resilience. At the alumnae level, I have found lifelong friendships, opportunities to serve, and a continued connection to an organization that has given so much to me. Giving back to Phi Mu fills my cup in a way few other activities can.

This year, our board is focused on strengthening and growing our chapter. We hope to welcome new members into our sisterhood, better understand how we can serve our existing members, expand our philanthropy and service opportunities, and deepen our relationship with our Heart to Heart Chapter, Epsilon Pi. Most importantly, we want to create meaningful opportunities for sisters to connect with one another.

Whether you are a longtime member, a recent graduate, or someone considering reconnecting with Phi Mu, there is a place for you in our chapter. The Dallas Area Alumnae Chapter offers opportunities to build friendships, make professional and personal connections, serve our community, and support the organization we all cherish.

As we embark on this new year together, I encourage you to get involved in a way that is meaningful to you. Attend an event, volunteer for a project, reconnect with an old friend, or introduce yourself to someone new. Lifelong sisterhood is one of Phi Mu's greatest gifts, and it is through our shared experiences and commitment to one another that our chapter continues to thrive.

I look forward to connecting with you throughout the year and working together to make this a successful and memorable chapter year.

With love and gratitude,
Emily Laroux
Chapter President
